About

Conquer the Coast Bike Ride packs so much into one ride that no other cycling event quite compares. With ride options of 66, 21,10 miles, the ride begins in the heart of Corpus Christi’s Whataburger Field, home of the Corpus Christi Hooks (734 E Port Ave, Corpus Christi, TX 78401).

H-E-B 66-Mile: A challenge for even the most seasoned cyclist, this is the course that separates the joy riders from the die-hards. Once you make your way to the top of the Harbor Bridge you’ll realize this is no ordinary ride.  With the Corpus Christi ship channel below, and the Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington off to your right, you are at the start of an amazing ride that will take you through six different coastal communities.  After you get off the Port Aransas ferry you’ll ride the “Toughest 18 Miles in Texas” down the length of Mustang Island. Next it’s over the JFK Causeway, and then over to beautiful Ocean Drive, where you’ll feel the wind at your back for the final ten miles as you make your way back past the Corpus Christi Marina to Whataburger Field.

21-Mile: The 21 mile course is for those looking to push themselves a little. This ride will take you the entire length of Ocean Drive past the Island University of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and near the gates of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. It’s perfect for intermediate level riders using comfort bikes, hybrids or mountain bikes.

10-Mile: The 10-mile course is a leisurely ride down Ocean Drive. Beautiful homes on one side and the scenic views of the bay on the other side. It’s perfect for less experienced riders, younger riders and families. It’s long enough to push yourself without overdoing it.

*Jersey orders through registration will be available until August 9th. After that time they will be available for purchase through a 3rd party website at a higher price point and mailed directly to you.

Refund Policy: All proceeds from this event go to the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a non-profit. REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, and DEFERRALS will not be issued, even in the event of inclement weather.

Indemnity Release

 

In consideration of my participation in Conquer the Coast ride and related activities, the undersigned, by signing below, agrees to release and indemnify United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation, V-Fit Productions, EventDog, Conquer the Coast, Whataburger Field, The City of Corpus Christi, Andrews Distributing, Safety First Traffic Solutions and all their employees, officers, directors, representatives, agents and those working on their behalf (collectively called "The Released Parties") from any liability or claims arising from or in any way related to my participation in either Conquer the Coast or any events or activities associated with Conquer the Coast.

 

This release and indemnity applies to any and all claims even if arising from the sole negligence or gross negligence of the released parties, and covers all relief which may be sought against released parties including exemplary damages, attorneys' fees, and penalties.

 

The indemnity provided by this release includes any settlement or judgment, costs of investigation, attorneys' fees, expert fees, and any other expenses incurred by released parties in responding to a claim covered by this release.

 

If the releasor is signing this release on behalf of a minor, the signing represents to released parties that the person signing is either the custodial parent or legal guardian of the minor and has legal capacity to give up legal rights of the minor.

WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
Conquer the Coast Bike Race Waiver



September 14, 2019 

I assume full responsibility for myself, my family, including minor children, for bodily injury, death and loss of personal property and any expenses as a result of my negligence, negligence of my family, negligence of any other rider, or the negligence of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (hereinafter NASCC) and its staff. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless NASCC and its staff, and the U.S. Navy, and its members, agents and employees from all claims, damages, losses, injuries and expenses arising out of or resulting from my family's or my participation in the Conquer the Coast Bike Race, which enters Federal Property in close proximity to NASCC. I further agree to release, acquit and covenant not to sue NASCC and its staff, and the U.S. Navy, and its members, agents and employees for all actions, causes of action claims or damages, damages in law or remedies in equity of whatever kind, including the negligence of NASCC and its staff, or my family, myself, or my heirs, against NASCC arising out of the foresaid event. In short, I cannot sue NASCC and its staff, and the U.S. Navy, and its members, agents and employees, and if I do, I cannot collect any money.

By this Waiver, I assume any risk, and take full responsibility and waive any claims of personal injury, death or damage to personal property associated with the Conquer the Coast Bike Race.

I understand and confirm that by signing this WAIVER AND RELEASE I have given up considerable future legal rights. I have signed this Agreement freely, voluntarily, under no duress. My signature is proof of my intention to execute a complete and unconditional WAIVER AND RELEASE of all liability to the full extent of the law.
