The Distance Challenge

The Austin Distance Challenge  is a series of the most prestigious local running events starting in the fall and leading up to the Ascension Seton Austin Half or Full Marathon in February. The races increase in distance as the series progresses, making the series a natural component of many Austin runners’ training. In its 27th year, the Distance Challenge is powered by the Austin Runners Club.

DC Runner Benefits

All registered participants will receive:

All participants who complete the series will receive:

• An exclusive Austin Distance Challenge finisher’s jacket
• We will present awards for In-Person Overall, Masters and Age Groups, both Male and Female. We will present awards at the Finisher's Party for both the In-Person Full and Half-Track Series options. 

VIRTUAL OPTION NEW THIS YEAR

Can’t make it to one race, or prefer to participate virtually, no problem! New this year we are offering our DC runners a virtual option. The only catch is, you will have to register for each event’s virtual race and once you default to a virtual event, you will not be eligible for the age group and overall awards.  

You will still be eligible for the coveted Distance Challenge jacket and invited to the Finisher’s Celebration!
