We want everyone that frequents Mean Eyed Cat, not just the folks at RAW Running, to run the weekend of the 25th and 26th. It's paramount to take care of ourselves during this and what better way than to run an #HAF 5k, and support a local bar and their staff in these tough times.
Every Tuesday night, RAW Running meets to guzzle down beers and claws, tell tall tales of our PRs that can’t (or can in Jason’s case) be fact checked on the internet, do a #HAF workout, and hang out. In 2020, we moved our meeting spot to The Mean Eyed Cat. Beyond providing a cool hangout spot, they were excited to have us, provided food, gave us great drink specials, and had an awesome and attentive staff that ultimately treated us like family.
Due to Covid-19 and the impact it has had all over the city of Austin, the staff at Mean Eyed Cat could use a helping hand to get through this tough time. Thus it was a no brainer to merge our passions of physical fitness, camaraderie through competition, and spending our time together at Mean Eyed Cat to create the Mean Eyed 5K.
100% of every dollar we raise through this will go directly to the staff at Mean Eyed Cat.

To run the 5K, pick a 5K (3.1 mile) course and run #HAF. If you have trouble finding a quality course, head over to http://mapmyrun.com and feel free to go #HAF (hard as fu… you get the point) on their routing tools!
To be extra clear, this is a virtual 5k. Listen to your health officials, maintain social distancing, but get outside and run a 5k the weekend of April 25th and 26th while going #HAF and supporting the fine folks at Mean Eyed Cat.
